Born in Bergen, I studied at NTNU in Trondheim and Ecole d’Architecture de Paris-la-Seine in Paris. After finishing my studies I worked at the Institute for Building Design at NTNU for two years.
The process of making spaces has always inspired and interested me, from my diploma project “Space for Dance” in Bergen and through two years of teaching, I particularly studied how to investigate space in 3D in various forms and worked with incorporating digital modelling in architectural practice.
In 2000, I moved to Oslo and started working at Dyrvik Arkitekter, where I became a partner in 2007. During my years in Oslo, I worked with a variety of cultural and urban projects in Oslo, Porsgrunn, Bergen and Bardufoss. I also worked on housing projects in Oslo, Bærum and Asker as well as many competitions.
I moved to Stavanger and joined Helen and Hard in 2011.
Main professional interests: development of concepts, transformation of space, dealing with complexity, sustainable qualities.
After hours: for the time being, baking a lot of bread, watching my two kids grow, practicing yoga and, of course, spending time outdoors, enjoying the beautiful nature and dramatic weather of the west coast with my family and friends.
